Steroid muscle spasm

My Partner Claire has been on Dexamethasone for 3 months (for radiation to the skull to help fight a tumour ) now she has muscle cramps in her legs and arms and gets lots of spasms in her back and legs. She also as muscle weakness. Claire is coming of them slowly as advised by her oncologist, we are on 1mg at the moment and going down to .5mg from Wednesday for a week then nothing. I hope. Does anyone out there know what we can use to help allivieate the symptoms of Dexamethasone. ? Looking forward to hearing from you guys.

Tony was a patient in a nursing home.  He had a stroke five years ago, but his muscles never fully recovered.  Although he participated in physical therapy, it was unable to loosen the tight flexure of his hands, wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles.  He was painfully contracted due to the spasming muscles, and it was impossible for him to extend his legs or arms.  In time, the pain became strong enough that he could no longer participate in physical therapy, and medications where used to attempt to control the pain from his spastic muscles.

Calf strains and injuries are common, especially amongst athletes. [1] One of the most debilitating and nagging of sports injuries is the torn calf muscle. A big issue with this injury is that is it hard to distinguish from just a strained or pulled calf muscle. If you continue to work this muscle, it may tear. A torn calf muscle takes quite some time to heal, and is very prone to re-injury. There are other issues and injuries that can cause calf pain, but if the pain is severe -- or you hear a "pop" or "snap" sound from your leg -- see a doctor immediately.

Long story..short version. 56yoF in good health. 5’6″ out minimum 5 times a week. Weight lifting for years and usually threadmill (incline) for cardio. No problems with get the spasms on threadmill. I go outside and walk and boom, hips feel very sore and get stabbing spasms mid R is happening almost every time I walk for any length of time outside. PT was thinking it was hip flexor problem. Over the years I have seen so many specialists….regular MDs, Ortho guy, Chriopractors, Osteopathic docs, pain specialist. Nobody can figure out why walking aggravates the back then causes the back no sense that I can do an hour on the threadmill daily without issues. Walk outside for an hour and the spasms are severe. Any ideas?
